Thank you for your interest leading a weekly event through our Women in Podcasting Club on Clubhouse.
Please read the following and then submit the application below. If you are selected, we’ll contact you with approval via email. So, please make sure you submit your most up-to-date email address.
Please read this important information so you have clear expectations of the scope of the opportunity and responsibilities of this role. Those who have experience on Clubhouse will find these things familiar to most clubs, but we do have some specific items to watch for. Please read carefully before applying.
Rules & Requirements: We request that you follow the below rules, requirements and protocols, with the understanding that these will be updated and modified, as needed.
About us: We currently have the Women in Podcasting Facebook Group, VIP Club and Show. All have the same purpose of providing opportunities for lifting women’s voices everywhere. We want to continue that vibe into the Clubhouse rooms.
Description: Women in Podcasting is a place where women podcasters and expert guests can connect, collaborate and celebrate! Whether you’re a new or seasoned podcaster, we invite you to join our community. There are opportunities for asking questions, offering tips, sharing your episodes, calls for guests, guest applications and helping each other. We’re all about brining value, serving passionately and raising women’s voices everywhere!
Who can schedule a room? You must be approved as a leader through the application on this page before scheduling and running rooms in our in the Women in Podcasting Club on Clubhouse.
Who can be a leader? You must have some podcasting or guesting, speaking, coaching and Clubhouse moderating experience and somewhat of a social following to apply.
Newbies: This opportunity is NOT for those brand new to Clubhouse and this is not a beginner training for Clubhouse. If you’re looking to learn about Clubhouse, download Podcast Magazine’s Crushing it on Clubhouse HERE.
Opportunities: The Women in Podcasting Show is a podcast that will go hand-in-hand with the rooms. In the future, some rooms may be recorded – with your permission and participation – and added as an episode to the podcast.
Collaboration: This is a mutually beneficial collaborative opportunity based on reciprocity. We will promote the scheduled room to our network and we ask you to do the same.
WIP VIP Club Members: Preference will be given to members of the Women in Podcasting VIP Club, but that does not guarantee you a spot. We look at many factors, including experience, reach and other aspects of scheduling, running and promoting a Clubhouse room.
Your Image: Upon being approved we’ll ask you to submit a headshot that we can use on social for promoting the events. We also have a page called “Women to Follow on Clubhouse” and we’d like to add you there. Jennifer has access to lots of other opportunities that will arise throughout the year.
Themes & Topics: Keep the conversation podcast related in some aspect.
Your Title: Choose a weekly recurring title that reflects your overall theme and discussion topics. Your title should differentiate your room from other rooms. The title will stay the same, even if your discussion changes each week. The discussion should reflect your title in some way. For example, if it’s “Growing Your Podcasting” then most of your discussions will be around that topic. Or, maybe you want to have a pitch and promote room, or a starting a podcast room, or a monetizing your podcast room etc. But always stay in the realm of your overall topic. Do not suddenly start doing unrelated trainings.
Reset: You must commit to doing a room reset with the required details every 30 minutes minimum. We’ll give you the script / guide when you’ve been approved. It’s a typical room reset script geared towards Women in Podcasting. You can add your own lead magnet, offering or mini teaching in the mix. Our biggest success had been offering a lead magnet that’s strongly connected to the discussion.
Scheduling rooms: Schedule events at least 2 weeks in advance. When scheduling the event add the Women in Podcasting as the Club and it will land in our event calendar for people to see at the top of the Clubhouse Club.
Time Zone; All events are in PST Pacific Standard Time and must be expressed that way when scheduling or promoting.
Leader of Leaders & Scheduling: When scheduling the meeting always add Jennifer Henczel as a moderator to every event. This helps with scheduling and quality assurance. She can’t attend all meetings, but her account will be there in silence. Do no call on her unless she indicates she is actually present.
Co-hosts: All regular co-hosts must apply to be a WIP Clubhouse Leader and be authorized to lead rooms. Have them also fill out the below form. We realize there may be exceptions if you have guest speakers. But, if you have someone regular as a co-host or mods who help you with moderating, please have them apply. Make sure any co-hosts are familiar with our rules and level of quality.
I will bring valuable discussion to the events / rooms, providing opportunities for networking, connecting, collaborating and celebrating!
Promoting your lead magnet or other freebie must be at least a 1:1 ration with the Women in Podcasting group announcements and resets.
No Selling: You cannot conduct sales or promote paid items in the rooms. We don’t allow direct selling in the rooms, but you can offer an applicable lead magnet where you send someone to a link to opt-in and then download. Our rooms are for lead generation only, not sales.
Lead Generation: You are not required in any way to offer a lead magnet – it’s just the best way for you to maximize this opportunity. If you are going to offer a lead magnet, only provide them through through proper lead capture opt-ins from a professional email marketing system. You can mention the link during the opening, closing and resets in a 1:1 ration with WIP announcements. Do no use spam or DMing to deliver the lead magnets.
No Club Promos: You cannot promote other Clubhouse Clubs or Facebook groups in our club rooms.
