8 Tips for Getting Gigs as a Guest Speaker on Other People’s Platforms

Posted on by Jennifer Henczel

8 Ways to get more gigs as a guest on other people’s podcasts, shows, lives, socials, radio and tv.

1.) Create images in Canva with tips from you area of expertise and about you as an expert guest and share them throughout your socials. Always include a link to your bio. Examples above ⬆️

2.) Have your assets ready to give to the show owners for easy promotion, for example, your headshots, talk title, brief talk description and brief bio.

3.) Join me over in the Women in Podcasting group. We’ve had hundreds of podcaster and guest matches over there. Share in the comments of our daily posts. Lots of matches are made there, especially on Matchup Mondays: https://www.facebook.com/groups/womeninpodcasting

4.) I get invited to be on shows every day, and the most effective way podcasts and shows find me is because I build thriving communities. I have a new masterclass about how I do it here:  https://www.inspiredinfluencers.com/mini-memberships-masterclass/

5.) You can access to my entire “Getting more Guesting Gigs” program with 100 page manual, email templates to connect with show owners and much more by joining my Women in Podcasting Network for only $7/month: www.womeninpodcasting.club

6.) I recommend the Podmatch app, which they say is sort of like Tinder for Podcasters… well it’s nicer than Tinder lol It’s a very effective matching service between podcasters and guests. I interviewed the app founder Alex Sanfillipo and asked him a bunch of questions about it. You can see that interview and other resources here:

7.) Have you seen OneSheet yet? It’s a way to get more interviews, speaking gigs, collaborations, and much more. Get a free profile right now because the OneSheet Directory is brand new! It’s a digital OneSheet plus networking and other opportunities:

8.) Lastly, if you’re able, join us at Podfest next week. You can join live in-person or virtually. It’s well known for the massive amount of high quality podcasters you can connect with there. Already I’ve made lots of valuable connections through the Whova app where everyone is already connecting before the conference. It’s a beautiful community. It’s happening in Orlando, Florida on May 26 – 29th. it’s not just for podcasters – there’s a video and crypto tracks, too. Coaches, speakers, authors, podcasters or show hosts of any kind can benefit from the learning and connections.  You can use this link to get 20% ticket prices:

Or, if the ticket price is the only thing holding you back, you can get a free ticket through their Pay it Forward program here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd46WW1XcclQD1k8tIaZ2meAr5BdVqoxg_tdQuQ5SR4y-UsHg/viewform
